January 28th:

We are so excited to see your smiling faces this Sunday! Please be sure to read below to see the ways we are trying to keep everyone safe and please stay home if you are sick or have been around someone who is sick. There are more guidelines you can read below. We look forward to seeing you in person or online this Sunday!

January 13th:

In light of the widespread COVID-19 virus in our state and county, El Camino will not be holding in-person Worship Services, Connect Groups or Youth Groups for an additional two Sundays but will be livestreaming at 9:00am (Traditional) and 10:30am (Contemporary). The safety and health of you and your family are of the utmost importance to us. We pray God’s healing and quick recovery for those in our church family who have the virus. Please let us know how we can best pray for you. We will continue to keep you updated, but always feel free to contact us by phone, email, or social media should you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you online this Sunday!

December 31st:

Over the past week, a small handful of those in our congregation have tested positive for COVID-19, including Pastor Bruce. In light of this, El Camino will not be holding in-person Worship Services, Connect Groups or Youth Groups the next two Sundays but will be livestreaming at 9:00am (Traditional) and 10:30am (Contemporary). This will allow for everyone to quarantine appropriately regardless of whether they were exposed or not. Many churches across the country have used this strategy successfully to ensure that the virus does not spread any further throughout the congregation. The safety and health of you and your family are of the utmost importance to us. We pray God’s healing and quick recovery for those who have the virus. We will continue to keep you updated, but always feel free to contact us by phone, email, or social media should you have any questions.

Happy New Year from your El Camino family! We look forward to seeing you online this Sunday!

December 10th:

October 4th:

Our Connect Groups will be starting back in person. We will be slowly bringing back our regular ministries and groups. We will continue to use CDC Covid precautions.

July 30th:

El Camino will be having in person services for our two, main services beginning on August 2nd. Our Traditional (9:00am) and Contemporary (10:30am) Services will be available on Facebook Live and our streaming site as well. We are excited to welcome our church family back into the building and also understand the need for some to remain safe at home. We will continue with extra precautions to keep everyone safe. We love you all and continue to pray for the health of our church family.

June 30th:

In light of Governor Ducey’s press conference June 29th regarding the uptick in COVID-19 cases and our desire to keep our church family safe, El Camino is suspending our in person worship services for the month of July.

We will be monitoring this situation closely as it unfolds and will be sure to communicate to you any changes as they happen.

We will continue to Facebook Live (better quality) and livestream both of our Sunday services: Traditional at 9:00am and Contemporary at 10:30am. You can find our livestream by going to www.elcaminochurch.org with the Livestream link being in the top, right corner.

Finally, and most importantly, we want to encourage you to pray over this situation. Pray for those that are affected by the virus, both nationally and worldwide. Pray for leadership at all levels that God bless them with wisdom in how to approach this situation. Pray most of all that God would be glorified during this time through His people and that His matchless Name will be lifted high.

Stay healthy and we look forward to worshiping our Lord through Facebook Live and livestream this Sunday!

June 19th:

Pima County has made wearing a mask while in public mandatory. When you come to church, we will have disposable masks as well as some cloths masks available. On entering the foyer or D building, you will see a table with masks, if you don’t have one, please take one.

Thank you for helping keep your church family safe!

May 15th:

We are excited and ready to see YOU this Sunday! Please know that we want to keep our El Camino family safe and healthy. If you are in one of the groups that is most at risk, we understand that you may need to continue watching online. You are still part of the family and we love you! We are also changing some things so that we can stay safer for everyone. (see infographic below)

We also wanted to let you know that our solar panel project is nearing completion on the west side of our campus. This will affect parking on that side of the building. Please plan to park on the east side or the southwest side.

We will continue to use our online bulletin, found in the YouVersion Bible app. We will not be handing out a paper bulletin so if you enjoy taking notes, please bring what you need from home.

As a reminder, we will not yet be having Connect Groups or programs for children and youth.

You are also welcome to wear masks, but we will not require them. Things may feel a little different because we won’t be shaking hands and we will be keeping a 6ft social distance from each other, but we know that it will be good to see many in person again!

May 1st:

April 16th:
Our offices will now be open on Mondays & Thursdays from 8:00am-4:00pm.  We will be closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays until further notice.  Please feel free to call and leave a message or email someone on staff with any questions or needs.  We will get back with you as soon as we can.

April 2nd:
With the stay at home order given by our Governor, the church is considered part of the essential services listed.  Our office will continue to remain open with a small staff on site and others working from home. We have also reduced the number of people here on Sunday mornings for each of our services. We want you to know that we are taking every precaution to be safe and continue to have church with you.

March 25th:
If you joined us this past Sunday for service on our livestream, you noticed the difficulties we had in broadcasting, especially during the 9am service hour. Unfortunately, with the millions of people streaming services from tens of thousands of churches, the internet became a traffic jam. Almost all churches experienced major issues as we did. We wanted to let you know what we are doing to help things go smoother this Sunday.

Different Service Times: We will be pushing both of our services back an hour to 10am for Traditional and 11:30am for Contemporary. Not only is the hope to stagger our service times to avoid the most popular hours, but also, that by pushing the times back, we avoid colliding with east coast churches.

Streaming Service: If you join our livestream through our website, you may notice a difference in the way it looks in the coming weeks as we are considering changing the service we use. We are weighing the cost so this one is still up in the air.

Social Media: You may have noticed that the stream we had on Facebook this past Sunday was significantly more reliable than our normal stream through streamingchurch.tv (the one linked to our website). If you are not on Facebook, you may consider creating an account. If you are already on Facebook, please know that we are working on getting our standard stream quality available for this Sunday. We are also working on doing the same for YouTube. On the backside of this letter you will find links to all of our Social Media accounts so you can stay connected to your church community during this time. Pastor Bruce, Worship Ministry, Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry are all sharing videos, devotionals and music every day to keep us connected.

Communion: On Sunday, April 5th, we will observe communion through our services on livestream. We will have prepackaged communion that you can pick up at the church office next week or you can feel free to use what you have in your home.

If you need assistance in any way, please let the church office know. We have volunteers ready to help! If you are healthy and able to help assist others with needs, please let us know so we can match you with someone.

Finally, if you have any social media, phone, text or email contact with any of our volunteers, reach out to them and let them know how much you appreciate them. Our orchestra, band, vocal and tech teams continue to give their time so that the church may glorify God together. We could not do what we do without their efforts.

Stay healthy, trust in God during this uncertain time, and we will continue to keep you updated with any developments. See you on the web at 10am and/or 11:30am on Sunday!
